Wimmer Motorsports was established in 2018 by veteran racecar driver and crew chief Chris Wimmer.  Offering race programs, car set-up and maintenance, car builds and consulting, Wimmer Motorsports offers top notch services to drivers and teams across the country.

Wimmer Motorsports will operate out of Huntersville, NC and then will relocate to Wausau, WI during the summer of 2018.  At this time, Wimmer Motorsports will become the Fury Race Cars Midwest dealer with the ability to build and repair Fury race cars.  Along with this, Wimmer Motorsports will sell select Fury parts as well as parts from various other dealers, including AP, Motorstate, Coleman, Five Star and Bassett.

Wimmer brings years of racing knowledge to his new endeavor.  He began racing at a young age and worked his way up to the NASCAR top-three ranks.  After a brief stint in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series, Wimmer returned to his passion of Super Late Model racing in 2007.  He competed consistently in the ACRA Midwest Tour and at tracks throughout the Midwest.  He won the 2011 World Crown and the 2014 Slinger Nationals.

In 2015 Wimmer began to transition to the role of crew chief and moved to Huntersville, NC to call the shots for Harrison Burton.  In three years Wimmer helped lead Burton to more than a dozen wins, including the 2018 Rattler 250.

With the transition to Wimmer Motorsports, Burton will become the first driver under the new banner.
